Question regarding Remote Exam :
I already took the remote exam, and the exam instructions were given in the firefox browser.
Sometimes it’s very useful to cut and paste text from browser to terminal. But impossible to do so.
Also, even though the physical monitor is big, the Remote Exam (VNC screen) is half of the monitor, and fonts are small, whic makes eyes so tired after an hour.
Q1) Does someone know how to copy and paste text from browser?
Q2) Does someone know how to change the screen resolution (increase the screen size of VNC screen) during the remote exam?
I have passed today my ex-318 and I can show how to copy and paste from browser to terminal or terminal to another terminal.
Browser to Terminal --> Into you browser selected text just copy (CTL+C) or right clic --> Copy to paste that copied text into Terminal --> just press Control+Shift+V.
Terminal to Terminal:
- Copy: Control+Shift+C
- Paste Control+Shift+V
Sorry, but I can´t help with your second question
I hope it helps.
Thanks for your reply and confirmation. ok, Then this may be because I use a Macbook pro (2015) - Because I can confirm I've done the Ctrl+C after selecting the text in the browser - But It does not paste in to terminal. From Terminal to Terminal, It works.
Also with my macbook, the Built in Camera is not detected by Remote Exam Image.
Just today, I copied something from browser (ctrl+c) and pasted it into terminal (ctrl+shift+v), so that should work. Whether there's any macOS issue, that I'm not sure, but I'd expect that despite being on macOS, you'd have the same shortcuts, just like in our training.
I think though that if you right click a terminal, you should have a paste option.
With regards to Q2, when you boot up the live environment, you can set your resolution. You are presented with the settings tab where you can set up your internet connection, your keyboard locale, etc. There's a tab for displays. Now, whether Fedora supports all macOS resolutions, that I don't know.
Once you get past that screen (and you get presented with the login screen), you cannot adjust the environment, so if you need to adjust something, you need to reboot your laptop.
I am using Dell 34 inch U3419W monitor, and set the display resolution as 3440x1440 (20:9). The display is fine (full screen) for the Compatibility Test page and "Welcome to your exam" screen. I guess Fedora supports resolution as 3440x1440, right?
The problem happens when I enter my exam and VNC environment opens. VNC display only show the half screen. So, I guess the question is about how to change the VNC display setting to match the widescreen.
