Hi all,
I'v got a problem when Im trying to create a lab environment with BYDW opt. The thing is that it stucks on creating kafka cluster when im trying to do step 5.6 eda-setup. I'v tried to delete and re-create the lab env but same happens. Also, I dont know if it should act like that, but when i'm deleting the lab environment an openshift is still available even after 1 hour.
can anyone help?
thanks

It would be nice if the solution was shared here too because other people, like me, might need the solution.
@Reid as far as I remember, I was unable to reproduce the error and I followed the lab steps as mentioned.
Since writing, I have tracked the failure down to a Python 3.9 installation problem. While the lab says that any Python 3.9 should work, it turns out the most recent ones do not. In particular I get a failure in pathlib.py at line 681. I'm going to try to determine if Apple's installation of 3.9 deviats from homebrew and how they might conflict.
See my comment below.
The thing that happens for me is that the creation of the Kafka cluster fails. The log output looks like:
Starting lab.
· Verifying your OpenShift API URL ............................................................................ SUCCESS
· Verifying your OpenShift user credentials .............................................................SUCCESS
· Creating OpenShift projects ................................................................................. SUCCESS
- Project created: 'glxlua-kafka-cluster'
· Creating a Kafka cluster: my-cluster ........................................................................ FAIL
- Error processing template
- error: failed to read input object (not a Template?): unable to decode "STDIN": no kind "Template" is registered for version "v1" in scheme "k8s.io/kubectl/pkg/scheme/scheme.go:28"
- Cannot continue starting lab
Some help with this would be appreciated.
