With Satellite server being used for enterprise management you can integrate this with Ansible Tower for the following use cases:
I'll be setting up an Ansible Tower server this year and I'd like to integrate it with Red Hat Satellite 6.3. Is it difficut and complex to do this?
Watch this video to understand how to integration Ansible Tower and Satellite 6
on which version Satellite will be starting to integrade with Tower? and on which tower version? there still lack of documentation regarding this 2 area but if documentation exist please point me to the right direction oh great one :D
I presume your are talking about integration simmilar to puppet on current version of Satellite.
According to the roadmap, 6.4 should be the right version, after we still need to check the level of integration.
From what I read, this is Ansible to pe integrated, not Tower, but maybe I get it wrong.
You've got it just about right. In 6.4 they will have ansible integration, as well as a way to use Insights+Ansible, inside of Satellite. This way you can perform remediation of security issues, bug fixes, etc, by launching an Ansible playbook directly from Satellite.
Just pointing it out FTR: don't forget about Tower's REST API. :smileywink:
A Technical Overvew course on Satellite 6.4 was recently released. https://www.redhat.com/en/services/training/rh053-red-hat-satellite-technical-overview
Here is a video demoing Insights+Ansible integration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ra2K2aTGugs
Is there anything on the road map to use Satellite to manage Tower licenses?
