Ansible Tower Integration with Red Hat Satellite
With Satellite server being used for enterprise management you can integrate this with Ansible Tower for the following use cases:
- Satellite Server can be used as a dynamic inventory in Ansible Tower.
- The integration can help to execute playbooks during provision callback on hosts registered to the Satellite server.
- With regard to security compliance, the OpenSCAP remediation playbooks can also be executed from the Ansible Tower on the registered hosts.
- Red Hat Insights analyzes select files on a system, getting smarter with each additional piece of intelligence and data. Red Hat Insights can help remediate such issues with Ansible Playbooks. Thus with Ansible Tower integration with Satellite, you can remediate the registered Red Hat-based system to proactively identify threats to security, performance, and stability across physical, virtual and cloud environment, container deployments.

I'll be setting up an Ansible Tower server this year and I'd like to integrate it with Red Hat Satellite 6.3. Is it difficut and complex to do this?

I presume your are talking about integration simmilar to puppet on current version of Satellite.
According to the roadmap, 6.4 should be the right version, after we still need to check the level of integration.
From what I read, this is Ansible to pe integrated, not Tower, but maybe I get it wrong.

You've got it just about right. In 6.4 they will have ansible integration, as well as a way to use Insights+Ansible, inside of Satellite. This way you can perform remediation of security issues, bug fixes, etc, by launching an Ansible playbook directly from Satellite.

Is there anything on the road map to use Satellite to manage Tower licenses?
