Hey Everyone,
I have a Developer subscription and my understanding is that it includes access to the Automation Hub portion of the Ansible Automation Platform through the Cloud Console pages. Well I'm trying to practice for my RHCE and have been trying to download the redhat.rhel_system_roles collection as a tar.gz files so I can do the install in my lab. (yes, I know the rhel-system-roles rpm is available, but those won't show up in ansible-navigator etc.)
When I login and go to the Hybrid Console here: https://console.redhat.com/ansible/automation-hub I have absolutely nothing in the main page. Just white space.
When I am given a url directly to it, I can open the url, but it shows nothing:
https://console.redhat.com/ansible/automation-hub/repo/published/redhat/rhel_system_roles/
I can see it in the catalog, but it's like the Subscription isn't working or something:
https://catalog.redhat.com/en/software/collection/redhat/rhel_system_roles
Do I need more than just the "Red Hat Developer Subscription for Individuals" to have access to collections in Automation Hub? If not, do I need to open a ticket with someone to get access?
Thanks in advance,
Will
@wgruesbeck I can open it in chromium browser but I think the issue is in firefox. Are you using firefox ?
I've been using Chrome almost exclusively for Red Hat login stuff. Let me go try it with Firefox right now! I'll even see if I can grab some screenshots.
I just tried it with Firefox and received the exact same empty page.
Here's what I see. It's exactly the same whether using Chrome or Firefox. Just blank, white page.
When I click on the Overview section, it looks like I have a subscription since it differs from your screenshot. Also, it gives an error at the bottom trying to display something about collection information.
@wgruesbeck Thanks for sharing the screenshot, Let me check and see if I can get you any information on the same.
@wgruesbeck I could not find any outages for the site :
for some of my colleagues they are able to access the https://console.redhat.com/ansible/automation-hub page with contents. It is weird surely.
ok @wgruesbeck I found the issue - you cannot access it via developer subscription. You can only access it via a product subscription.
Thank you for finally confirming that. I have a ticket open and the person there has not been able to confirm one way or another. I had a link at one time saying that the developer subscriptino was supposed to include access to the automation hub collections though not necessarily to the AAP itself.
I'm going to continue working through the ticket. I believe you have the correct answer (it's not included). But either way, there appears to be an issue with my acocunt.
If it IS included, I cannot access it.
If it IS NOT included, it's prompting me to Install & Configure my infrastructure instead of prompting for a 60 day trial subscription.
