Hello!
I took the EX457 exam and failed.
I know how to create and use roles, but I didn’t understand the question (I’m not a native English speaker), and this is the only item where I understand my score.
However, I am sure I completed all the tasks correctly “Implement task devops.”. I executed and verified them on the network assets, but I received a zero score on “Implement task devops.”
Without violating the NDA, could someone give me any tips on what I should pay attention to or what I should reinforce in my learning?
Hi,
If you believe so, try asking a re-grade of the exam. I've heard sometimes, it happens and re-grading the exam solve the issue.
Please, keep in mind the course is NOT a exam prep guide. It is only a course.
Therefore, the gap between the course knowledge base and the exam requirements is on the student itself, on his/her skill and on his/her real-world experience with such product.
If you made a score of 0%, it means you forgot some small but important detail on those tasks.
You don't need to be a native-speaker to achieve exam tasks.
Hint: go beyond the lab exercises. Build your own exercises. Experiment with lookup, plugins, modules and so forth...
Good luck for your next attempt
I got approved in RHCSA, RHCE, EX188, and EX374. However, due to my failure in the EX457-Network exam, I felt a bit frustrated and discouraged.
A task can be done in several ways to achieve the same result, but I feel that if I don’t execute it exactly as requested I don’t get any points.
I went back to the labs, redid all of them multiple times in different ways to try to understand what I might have done wrong. The grading system marks them as successful, but I realized that the exam is different.
So far, I haven’t been able to process the fact that I failed all the tasks, even though I ran everything without errors and double-checked the results.
The issue isn’t retaking the test, but not knowing what I’m missing.
