EX260 exam

Jump to solution

Hi,

I'm a bit confused. After completing Cloud Storage with Red Hat Ceph Storage (CL260) course I intend to take the Ceph Cloud Storage (EX260) exam. EX260 requirements mention:

> Utilize and modify Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform installation files provided with Red Hat Ceph Storage to configure and install Red Hat Ceph Storage server

But introduction to CL260 mentions cephadm method, and not Ansible Playbooks from the ceph-ansible package.

My questions:

1. What version of Red Hat Ceph Storage will I be tested on for EX260?
2. Thus what method of deployment and management will I be tested on for EX260: cephadm-ansible or ceph-ansible?

Thanks.

@GiorgiBear When you enroll in the exam, you will have the choice of which version of the exam you would like to take. Currently, the options are version 4.2 or version 5.0. Note that both options are available for remote or testing center delivery.

Hello @GiorgiBear !
Thanks for reaching out !

I do not know about EX260 exam scenarios / specific configurations however, regarding the ansible playbook part , I see cephadm-ansible in Ch02s01 , Ch02s02 and Ch02s05 :

I guess the EX260 is on version 5 ( RH exams are now versionless and you will have an option to choose , if any , from available versions during exam scheduling post purchase).

I will suggest you to write to the exam support team and see if they can help you with an official response : https://rhtapps.redhat.com/comments

Hi @Chetan_Tiwary_

Red Hat has refused to answer for exam privacy reasons. I think it's completely reasonable for a candidate to know at least what version of the product he/she is being tested on.
