Unlike Certification exams (e.g. EX200, EX280), Preliminary exams (PE124, PE180) do not require downloading an ISO file, creating a bootable USB drive, and booting from it. Preliminary Exams can be taken directly from your Internet browser.

Thank you for the information @PetrCihlar! I want to register for the Preliminary Exam PE124, but the link is not working... can you tell me why? And how can I make it?

Hi Artem. I do not know what link it is. You may open a ticket for support. The email is in the Getting Started manual pdf.

Thanks @PetrCihlar. Here is the answer, I think. The exam is now simply unavailable...

Is there a alternate cost effective(Preliminary Exams) way tp get certified. Please advise.

@Moeins the preparation exam is a tool to help you get ready for the actual exam, but only the actual exam counts toward your certification or final result. For example PE180 used to be a prearation tool for EX280, PE124 a preparation tool for EX200.
