The ansible-doc command is part of the ansible package, i.e. when you run the below command, you will have the ansible-doc command available.

yum install ansible

no.

Im talking about yum install ansible-doc

which is a separate package, not available on the training workstation in online learning

but available on my machine :

> dnf provides /usr/share/doc/ansible-doc
Last metadata expiration check: 1 day, 2:44:10 ago on Sun 24 Jan 2021 04:36:44 AM EST.
ansible-doc-2.9.16-1.el8.noarch : Documentation for Ansible
Repo : @System
Matched from:
Filename : /usr/share/doc/ansible-doc

try this : rpm -ql ansible-doc

and see all the docs it provides about basic ansible syntaxes

thanks

We have to compare apples to apples here.

The environment that you're asking about is for EX294 which is based on the same environment as RH294.

Tet the environment you're referencing in your last post different to RH294.

See attached:

I know the ansible-doc command is provided by ansible package

Butt the ansible user guide is provided by ansible-doc package

Is that ansible-doc PACKAGE installed or available to install on the exam workstation ?

( I need to know that in order to prepare for the certification exam )

The ansible-doc RPM package is not provided as part of the course but is already installed on the examserver. You interface with it via http - the URL is provided.

@Emmanuel2002
"How do I burn the iso that I just downloaded to a flash drive?"
There are many apps on the market
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMa0mM5R5Fg&t=13s
Or search for ISO to USB on search engines.
I know it is an older post but it might help others.

Are there any folks on here in the US that are studying now for the RHCSA exam?  I have to take it in a few months and just finished RH124/134 but could use some study buddies, or folks with some useful/helpful tips on memorization - mnemonic or otherwise for the multiple of commands we will have to know.  I know folks say work in RHEL as much as possible but I don't have that luxury currently to build that muscle memory.  I'm really hoping to find out if there are study groups to also offer that encouragement or "lessons learned."

Thanks,

Tina

Is anyone here currently studying for the RHCSA EX-200 exam? I’m scheduled to take it in a few months and just finished RH124/134, but I could really use some study buddies or tips on how to memorize all the commands. Whether it's mnemonics or other techniques, I'm open to anything that might help. I know the advice is to get as much hands-on experience with RHEL as possible, but unfortunately, I don't have access to that right now to build up my muscle memory.

I’m also hoping to find study groups or connect with others who are preparing, so I can get some encouragement and hear about lessons learned along the way.

By the way, I’m Ch Mohan Kumar from India. Looking forward to connecting with others preparing for the exam!

Hi Cadet,

you do not need to memorize all the commands. The best way to prepare
for the exam is to learn how to use the --help option of each command
you will use during the taking exam. And you should practice using
those options. You should do labs and use the --help options while
doing lab tasks.

I think it could be the best way.

Good luck!

@ch_mohan_kumar no need to remember each and every command. The familiarity with most of the commands and how to use the help command along with man pages comes with practice. If you practice more, it will be automatically taken care by.
