Hi,
Is Istio reference documentation available during EX328 Red Hat Certified Specialist in Building Resilient Microservices exam? For example, documentation related to destination rule is available at https://istio.io/v1.6/docs/reference/config/networking/destination-rule/
Thanks,
Srini
I would like to know too. At least we can use "oc explain" in order to consult API offline
Hello,
From what I remember in my EX328 v2.0 I have completed several months ago, Istio documentation was available in addition to Red Hat product documentation.
https://istio.io/v1.6/docs/reference/
https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/openshift_container_platform/4.6/html-single/service_m...
My impression was that not every page in Istio documentation could not be referred to during the exam, however the available information was so enough to pass the exam with good score.
Thank you,
What good information,
As I said, "oc explain" helps me a lot but it is true that it doesn't document the possible values that the key can have and if you don't remember that it can be a problem.
By the way, how difficult is the exam compared to other certifications, such as the ex280?
Thanks for the contribution @takuji
Yes, "oc explain" was also what I used a lot during the EX328.
For the exam difficulty, my impression is that EX328 was not so hard if you've already completed other OpenShift exams including EX280 and EX288.
Red Hat official DO328 course should be good enough to pass the EX328, but reading several books including the below helped me a lot to understand the related topics in addition to the documentation I previously mentioned.

Thanks,
Are you sure about istio documentation? I've taken plenty of different red hat certification exams and never seen reference documentation from upstream projects available. I'm specially concerned about ex328 because service mesh 2.0 documentation covers istio configuration details very superficially.
@felipeerobnb ,I confirm that the documentation is available as mentioned by @takuji .
@pericles That's very helpful information, thank you very much my friend!!
Yes, the course is very good but I miss more examples of Mutual TLS and especially in the part of end-to-end communication from a external client.
Thanks for the references @takuji
