Good morning dears.
I am a security consultant at a multinational telecommunications company, and I have a demand to update openssh to a version above 7 on Linux systems:
RHEL 5
RHEL 6
However, I am unable to find information on supported systems for the new versions, the request I received is that we have to update openssh to a version above 7.
Can you help with this topic?
Thank you.
Hello @Robsonvnunes !
This learning community mainly focuses around Red Hat training courses and certifications. I think you are looking for a product support which you might not get here.
Please open a product support case here if you have the subscription : https://access.redhat.com/support/cases/#/case/new/get-support?caseCreate=true
it is important to note that RHEL 5 is no longer supported by Red Hat, and RHEL 6 is nearing the end of support. This means that you may not be able to get security updates for OpenSSH on these versions of RHEL.
If possible, I recommend upgrading your RHEL 5 and 6 systems to RHEL 8 or 9.
