Hi,
I have Redhat developer account , I have downloaded WIndows crc-windows-amd64.msi installer file and Pull-secret and installed on my Windows 11 Pro . But after reboot i dont see the CRC OPenshift launcher icon or shortcut on laptop.
AND CRC set up gives following error .
PS C:\Program Files\Red Hat OpenShift Local> crc setup
INFO Using bundle path C:\Users\mushfiqur\.crc\cache\crc_hyperv_4.19.0_amd64.crcbundle
INFO Checking minimum RAM requirements
INFO Check if Podman binary exists in: C:\Users\mushfiqur\.crc\bin\oc
INFO Checking if running in a shell with administrator rights
INFO Checking Windows release
INFO Checking Windows edition
INFO Checking if Hyper-V is installed and operational
ERRO Make sure you installed crc using the Windows installer and performed the required reboot
I thought it would be straight forward if i have Win 11 Pro.
Hyper -V is turned on too
Can someone advise what i am missing and how to resolve it ?
Thanks
Also found there is no OC folder under bin or crcbundle under cache for the following crc setup looking
PS C:\Program Files\Red Hat OpenShift Local> crc setup
INFO Using bundle path C:\Users\mushfiqur\.crc\cache\crc_hyperv_4.19.0_amd64.crcbundle
INFO Checking minimum RAM requirements
INFO Check if Podman binary exists in: C:\Users\mushfiqur\.crc\bin\oc
INFO Checking if running in a shell with administrator rights
@Mush I have not done this setup in windows - so cant help you directly.
But see if the below links help you in anyway : do it one more time cleanly
After installing CRC (CodeReady Containers) using the crc-windows-amd64.msi installer on Windows 11, you might not see the OpenShift launcher icon or shortcut after a reboot due to a few potential reasons. The crc executable might not have been added to your system's PATH environment variable, or the installer might not have created a shortcut. Running crc setup in Command Prompt or PowerShell after installation and reboot is a common troubleshooting step. Additionally, ensure virtualization is enabled in your BIOS and that you have administrator privileges.
Thanks
