Why do you want to use deployment configs? Note the following excerpt from the docs:
> Both Kubernetes Deployment objects and OpenShift Container Platform-provided DeploymentConfig objects are supported in OpenShift Container Platform; however, it is recommended to use Deployment objects unless you need a specific feature or behavior provided by DeploymentConfig objects.
What feature or behavior from deployment configs do you need?
Hmm, I believe we don't receive this request often, so I suspect that's why we don't cover deployment configs any more.
I *think* most exercises which use deployments you could adapt to use deployment configs. If this is a graded exercise, the grading will likely fail, but otherwise I suspect most things should be adaptable. But then, really you will not be using much of the specific deployment config features.
You could also use the feedback buttons on the courses to provide this feedback. Although I'll forward this thread to the relevant parties. (However, note that courses are very tight- we need to adjust to 3-4 days of teaching material and we often have to drop material we'd like to include.)
I have same experiece with DO280 exam.
All applications deployed under different projects was used deployment config. It was quite confusing.
Also, taint/tolerance was not covered in the course.
I managed only because of CKA experience.
