EX180 exam will be removed from the catalog soon

EX180 exam will be removed from the catalog soon

EX180 exam is being removed from Red Hat's catalog on January 1, 2023. If you are interested in taking this exam, please be sure to sign up for your exam eligibility before then. If you sign up for or currently have eligibility for this exam, you will still be able to sit for your exam, but no new eligibilities can be claimed after this date.

Today I got this message when I opened the video course DO180, any information or any idea why Redhat is removing this exam and which new course or exam they have introduced in return.

Will this exam still count towards RHCA? I took it few months ago.

Yes - exams aren't removed from RHCA count even if they are discontinued (only when they expire after 3 years, as with regular exams).

There is a very similar content course at DO188 - Red Hat OpenShift Development I: Introduction to Containers with Podman :  https://www.redhat.com/en/services/training/do188-red-hat-open-shift-development-introduction-contai... .

Yes very similar so if you take EX180 then you will be in good shape for EX188 and get two nice exams under your belt.

Would you recommend first taking the EX188 and then the DO188? I imagine the DO188 being harder? Thanks.

Hello @Armanator

DO188 is well planned course for the Introduction to Containers with Podman. So I shall suggest to take the course first which will help to understand it in a better way and attempt for the EX188 exam thereafter.
