Error in DO 316 / Chapter 7 / 7.2 Guided Exercise / Task 3

Jump to solution

There is an error in Task 3 / Step 3.2:

3.2 Go to Virtualization -> Virtual Machines

3.3 Select the golden-rhel VM and click Actions → Stop. Wait for the machine to stop.

The page is empty, no virtual machine is shown. The correct project is chose and the lab initialization script was successfully initialized.

@jako There is a workaround for this issue, login to the cluster as admin and password as redhatocp ( and not as vt-admin) and check the same.

Workaround is ok, please change the documentation for this chapter 7 - Clone a VM / step 3.1, otherwise it is confusing.

"Open a web browser and go to https://console-openshift-console.apps.ocp4.example.com. Select htpasswd_provider and log in as the admin user with redhatocp as the password."

@jako I was asking about course version, no worries I checked it. It is from DO316v4.16 ch07s02  and I was able to reproduce the issue :

Thanks for reporting this, I am escalating this to the concerned course development team for rectification. It should be resolved soon.

Hi Chetan, you are right, there are two course versions provided. I am using 4.16, the current one. Thanks for the update
