Large JVM heap in openshift

One of our app teams required to run Java datagrid with 32 GB Heap in Openshift. Have you seen or worked with any app containers running with that huge JVM heap? What are the recommendations? Is it best to ask them to not on board on openshift with such a huge heap size requirement?
