Overview

We’re really excited to announce the release of this new course: DO378 - Red Hat Cloud-native Microservices Development with Quarkus.

With the Red Hat Build of Quarkus, developers can more quickly build, test, and deploy their applications, improving application time to market, taking advantage of the supersonic and subatomic development.

This course will teach you how to leverage microservice application development with Quarkus, including creating application containers and deploying them into OpenShift clusters.

@NaomiLin great to hear! We actually just opened up a channel where developers can provide feedback directly to our developer curriculum team at Red Hat Training. See the post here: https://learn.redhat.com/t5/Developer-Middleware/Hey-Developers-Help-decide-the-future-of-Red-Hat-Tr...

We would love to hear from you.

@NaomiLin We are recording the DO378 video classroom next week and plan on releasing on March 18. What other developer courses are you looking for a video classroom?

@Jim_Meegan  I think I would like go to Business Process Automation/ Decision like jBPMN because content like this really have few video out there (almost non-existing).

So if Red Hat Training provide some business usecase like how exactly is BPM/Decision Manager can interact with real use-case it would be really great ! Because currently I really curious about world of BPMN (I had watching KIE video community in youtube) But if it have official Video Class Room it would really great.

Red Hat Video Class Room content is really awesome so I think if I watching and learn directly from Video Class Room it might really help I understand better about BPM.

@Jim_Meegan  Hello Jim, Actually i think another topics that very important and become real need for industry is Event Driven Architecture Microservice Development because Kafka become really important topics but currently Red Hat learning still don't have new Red Hat AMQ Stream (Kafka) for Developer.

Currently have only old fashion COBRA architecture which I think it rearely to using in new Applciation Development.

So if topics like Red Hat AMQ Stream(Kafka) combined with Apache Camel it would really benefit real world usecase scenario.

Hi Naomi!

Actually, most of those topics are already covered by our courses and exams.

For example, AD427 is a nice entry point for jBPM and process automation. AD421/EX421 covers Camel for Java developers and its integration for AD421.

In relation to RHAMQ/Kafka, I can only say that it is brightly on our radar, so stay tuned for updates!

@jordisolaAny target date for exam Ex378, hopefully it will also count towards RHCA as well.

Hi DB4

I have no official date for the exam, but I expect it to come soon-ish next quarter.

About the certification, DO378 is part of the Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Application Development and RedHat Certified Cloud-Native Developer skill paths. The further is already part of the RHCA in Enterprise Applications, so I assume the answer is yes. But those are just my assumptions, you should wait for the exam to be published for confirmation.

Hope that helps.

Hi!

I'm super excited to watch the DO378 video in Red Hat Learning Subscription! I can see the Read button in there but not the Watch button yet to be able to watch the course. Any updates on when that will be avialable to view in the Red Hat Learning Subscription?

Thanks,

Rob
