Overview

The Red Hat Container Adoption Boot Camp for Developers (DO720) immerses students in an intensive, 10-day hands-on training that covers design, development, testing and deployment of cloud-native applications on Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform. This boot camp, containing the latest updates for OpenShift 4.6 from the courses across the OpenShift application developer skills path, is for those seeking to accelerate the development of cloud-native applications, and enable a quantum leap in their container adoption journey.

The DO720 bootcamp contains material from the following courses:

  • Red Hat OpenShift I: Containers & Kubernetes (DO180): Introduction to building and managing containers for deployment on a Kubernetes and OpenShift 4 cluster.
  • Red Hat OpenShift Development II: Containerizing Applications (DO288): Design, build, and deploy containerized applications on Red Hat OpenShift.
  • Red Hat Cloud-native Microservices Development with Quarkus (DO378): Develop microservice-based applications with Quarkus and OpenShift.
  • Building Resilient Microservices with Istio and Red Hat OpenShift Service Mesh (DO328): Control, manage, trace, monitor, and test your microservices with Red Hat OpenShift Service Mesh.

As part of enrollment, you will receive one year of Red Hat Learning Subscription Standard, which gives you unlimited access to all of our courses online, plus up to five certification exams and two retakes.

Sally is a software developer responsible for her organization’s new cloud native application stack. In order to upskill on container technology and begin to understand how to develop applications for the cloud, Sally must understand how containers are built, deployed, and scaled. 

Job Goal

To become a subject matter expert capable of architecting, designing, and developing cloud native applications using Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform and related tools.

Education Goal

Sally Sudo will create, run, and deploy containers on both a local linux workstation, container registry, and onto an OpenShift cluster.
