Jump to solution

What exam should you take after completing the DO180 course? Is it PE180? If you pass the PE180 exam, do you earn a certification?

Hello @emsecrist !

After you have completed DO180 course , you can switch to either Openshift Development path - DO188 course ( Red Hat OpenShift Development I: Introduction to Containers with Podman ) which has a certification exam - EX188

 or

you can switch to Openshift administration path -  DO280 course ( Red Hat OpenShift Administration II: Configuring a Production Cluster ) which has a certification exam EX280 .

PE180 is a preliminary exam for practice purpose with no certification and is not a specialist exam which can be counted towards the RHCA.

Please go through the links and let me know if you need any more info on this. You can also  reach out to training@redhat.com

You will have to take the DO280 course and then EX280 exam. Unfortunately there is no exam for DO180

Hello @emsecrist

Thanks for reaching out.

Passing the PE180 exam does not earn you a certification. The PE180 exam is designed as a practice exam to help prepare for the official certification exam. It serves as a tool to assess your understanding and readiness, but it does not directly lead to a formal certification. Certification is typically achieved by passing the official exams designated by the certifying body, such as the EX188 or EX280 exams.

After completing the DO180 course, which focuses on Red Hat OpenShift I: Containers & Kubernetes, there isn't a specific exam directly linked to it

For a more advanced certification, you would typically proceed to the DO280 course, Red Hat OpenShift Administration II, and then take the EX280 exam. The EX280 exam leads to the Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration certification.

Hi there,

I have bought the PE180 preliminary exam to test my skills about DO180, it is possible to take it only once or is it possible to try it multiple times?

Thanks  a lot

Andrea

@AndreaIT  You will get only one free retake for any certification exam or PE exam if you fail the exam in the first attempt.

Please note that "Exam support link" ( https://rhtapps.redhat.com/comments ) is the official channel for raising support case and taking guidance/ help for anything related to exam. All other comments and suggestions are provisional.
