I am getting following error after starting labs. As mentioned in student guide I have tried running it after 30-45 mins. But still getting the same error.
Hi There,
I am facing similar issue.
Tried the ssh lab@utility then ./wait.sh but its shows Waiting for API continuously
Please share if anyone gone through the same and has a solution.
Thanks!
@NitisH_7 the wait.sh script will take 20-30 mins generally to finish on its own so that the OCP cluster gets ready with all its components. If you are waiting for more than 30 mins then I will suggest you to delete and create a fresh lab env for yourself. Do not run anything unless your OCP cluster is ready.
I am experiencing a recurring issue where my lab environment remains stuck at “Waiting for API.” Despite multiple attempts to resolve this, including deleting and recreating the entire environment several times, the problem persists. It stays like this for all time (waited hour 15 min)
So far, I have spent over five hours of lab time for troubleshooting and have also opened a support ticket, exchanging several emails without a resolution. This issue has now blocked my progress for six days in the self-paced course, while both my lab time and course time continue to decrease.
This situation is becoming quite concerning, and I would greatly appreciate your prompt assistance in resolving it so I can continue with the course.
Kind regards,
Roman

@3ScaleStudent if you have already raised the support case - please DM me the ticket number.
Somehow, I am not allowed to do the DM.
It was resolved by support team. They had to intervene and check the OCP cluster.
@3ScaleStudent yes as I stated earlier the OCP cluster takes time to initialize before you can send any request to the API. Whenever you build new lab or start your existing lab VMs - please wait for 30 minutes before you run any lab commands.
@3ScaleStudent seems you reached the DM limit , I guess now it must have been reset.
