DO316 – Confused About OpenShift Version for Training and Exam

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the Red Hat Learning platform and to OpenShift certifications.

I recently bought the DO316 - Managing Virtual Machines with Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization course along with the exam (about two months ago). I’ve already started the training and labs using OpenShift version 4.14.

However, I just found out that the Red Hat Learning platform now only offers course materials for version 4.16, and I can no longer download the student guide for 4.14. I opened a support ticket about this issue, but it's been a week and I haven’t received any response yet. I'm a bit confused.

Can I still take the exam based on OpenShift 4.14, or do I need to fully switch to version 4.16? Also, does the exam version always match the latest course version on the platform?

Thanks!

Exam vouchers are version-agnostic, so you can still use your voucher for the exam. However, since 4.14 course is no longer available, you would need to transition to 4.16 (or latest) for the most up-to-date training content.

Feel free to provide the ticket details at traduta@redhat,com, and I’d be happy to follow up on your behalf to ensure everything is on track!

@KhaDev I strongly recommend you to switch to v4.16 and you wont find much difference between the two course versions.

And yes, the exam usually updates the product version along with the new course version almost as soon as possible.
