EX374 - Is docs.ansible.com available during exam?

Jump to solution

Are we allowed to access https://docs.ansible.com/ (through the browser) during the exam? I realise that some documentations are not available through the ansible commands and can only be found on the website.

Some examples I'm thinking are Jinja2 filters , Developing custom modules and Dynamic inventory scripts.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Hello

The product documentation is provided during the exam. As there is no internet access, it’s provided offline. Remember to read exam instructions carefully, that will point you to format and placement of the documentation.

Check the exam page under "Exam Format"

Thank you for the answer, appreciate it! It's reassuring to know that it is provided offline.

One thing to add, the documentation available during the exam is for the version of ansible used during the exam. Thus the content might not necessarily be identical/similar to the latest version available via docs.ansible. Not sure whether online documentation for previous versions is available online (maybe in git somewhere?) but it might be a good idea to try finding it for the ansible version used in the labs. That would be the closest to what one can expect to find during exam.
