Lab Review-cr3 Grading script

Dear RH Support,,

I have noticed on occasion that the lab grading script(s) sometimes marks my answers as incorrect when they are in fact correct.

In this latest instance, it says that I failed because I failed to provide the correct username for the GitLab source credential 'student', when I do in fact have the correct answer/value in the AAP UI:

Username: student

Just a heads up in case anyone else encounters this.

Thanks in advance for looking into this!

@juliettet I tried the exercise and I am unable to reproduce the issue with lab script.

You can check case sensitivity of the letters in the username or any typo.

You can also recreate the lab and give it a try again.

Wasim_Raja,

Would it be possible to get a copy of that script?  I'm really curious to see how all that works!

Thank you so much!

Paul

@PaulB2 No, that is not possible as far as I know. Are you still getting the error ?

The grading script is hard coded to match the exact instructions eg. name, password, case sensitivity etc as instructed in the course steps.

I had a similar problem yesterday with one of the lab reviews in Chaper  6 (The last review before the end of the chapter)

The grading script checks that site.yml ran. And failed because it said it errored. However the site.yml playbook ran fine for me.There were a couple of others in that grading that failed also. Including one that looked identical to the canned solution.

I logged a feedback, so I will hopefully know

It would be good if the grading script gave a little more feedback (As an option perhaps?). Instead of saying FAIL, tell me why you think it failed. That would be useful, esp[ecially when I go back, access the canned solution, and type the exact command from the solution to run the playbook... and it works... so I know it's not a difference of opinion about the command line.
