According to the course, the label `velero.io/csi-volumesnapshot-class` is necessary to run successful backups. It's even mentioned in the documentation that leaving it out will lead to backup problems and Velero log warnings. However, my backups run fine without the label and I don't get any warnings on my Velero logs - neither in the deployment, nor in the backup CR logs.
With some investigation, I found out that since, Velero 1.12 this label is officially optional and Velero can figure out the matching volumesnapshotclass based on the CSI driver on its own. Am I missing something important here or am I safe to just leave out the label (in real-life, not for the exam ofc)?
@TobyTheHutt Thanks for your feedback and providing the relevant docs regarding this. I will check and pass it on to the respective course development team for rectification via an internal ticket.
