Use the Text Dialog. It's in the upper right hand corner label 'T'

I perform copy and paste using gedit, but Red Hat support might suggest a more efficient method:
1. Enable Host Paste (disabled by default)
2. Copy contents from a local machine (Command+C on a Mac)
3. Paste content into gedit in the lab (Command+V on a Mac)
4. Disable Host Paste
5. Copy contents from gedit in the lab (Ctrl+C)
6. Paste contents into Firefox in the lab (Ctrl+V)

Ofcourse the Text Dialog 'T' works as well for Firefox but I assume that is not what you want.
