EX188 exam and RHCA

Jump to solution

Hi,
I have EX180 exam as current (until 2025). As I have read, EX180 expired and EX188 comes to place. My question. If I pass EX188 right now, does it count in the PATH to RCHA? I mean. EX180 and EX188 can be current at the same time and count for 2 ?
Thanks

Hello @IGA

The ex188 counts towards the RHCA developer and sysadmin path.

The ex188 and ex180 will be counted as 2 certifications for the RHCA.

Fabio

@IGA

One more information, the specialist exams must be active to be counted to the RHCA path.

So, if you have ex180 expired, and ex188 active. Only the ex188 will be counted.

I am appearing for the EX188 next week, how many questions will be in EX188?

Why does it matter? You could have one single exercise comprised of several subsections - the outcome is still the same, you need to know your material and be quick on your feet to finish your exercises in the alloted time (and this is valid for any Red Hat exam).

You also mention "questions"; they're exercises in a live system so no amount of cramming through the documentation will help - you need live experience
