EX294 EXAM issue

Jump to solution

Hello,
yesterday i took EX294V9K exam, and the experience was horrible, The environment was unresponsive and i told the procter, He taled me that he will restart it and the same, i informed him and he told me that he will contact the support team and he disappeared, i had to continue with very slow environment, i took a break and when i came back after 3 minutes i informed the procter many times and only after 5 minutes he opened the exam for me without even replying. and even after that i was supprised that the exam ended suddenly before the time is up, I informed the procter of that but he never replied back, I sent to him in the chat over and over but no reply from him so i had to turn off my laptop without knowing the consequences because no one was there to reply to me.

Finally i got the result and the shock was NOPASS with score of 205
the weired thing is that i got the below:

Install and configure an Ansible control node: 0%

Create Ansible plays and playbooks: 81%

how did i got 0% with install and configure control node, how is that possible and how did i pushed the playbooks and got 205 while i got 0% with Install and configure an Ansible control node
this is the worst experience i had with redhat and it's not OK

i've sent to reshat and they told me they will respond within 3-5 bussiness day

As far as I know, the proctors are always supervised, also for their response times. Besides, it is no secret, the whole exam session is video recorded so it is possible to review it. This is probably why investigating and replying to your ticket may take several days. I am sure the proctor tried to contact you and did his best. The only explanation for your experience is a technical issue. I believe it will get sorted out for you.

Hi Ahmed
I can understand your frustration. The internal processes are set exactly for avoiding such experience. I have no details about your computer configuration and mainly the network conditions, so it is hard to tell. There could really be an issue. I know for sure the Red Hat team will respond to your ticket and will find a solution. You can also contact the support chat with us and discuss the technical aspects of your particular case, as you provided no personal details here. Regards. Petr / RE tech support

Thank you for replying Peter, as for the proctor, is it ok not to respond at all, I'm usre redhat keeps all of the chat history for an examiner, This experience made me afraid to take another exam because of what happened, is that normal for a proctro not to respond to the examinar ? and as for the retake should i wait for redhat reply or just take it ?

I also faced a similar issue and received a zero percentage for the objective 'Install and configure an Ansible control node.' Is this a technical issue? I have opened a case with Red Hat for more clarity

This doesn't fix your concern about the horrible experience you mentioned with the exam, but if you feel that you truly understand the concepts that were being assessed on the exam, and that you have the skills and knowledge to perform those tasks, be comforted to know that you will eventually see a NOPASS replaced with a PASS!!!

A successful outcome on an exam is supposed to be a means of validating one's competency of concepts in a certain domain.  However, if there are technical difficulties/issues beyond yoru control, the assessment was not an accurate one!   So, be encouraged that you will eventually cross the finish line!!!!
