There are mentions of Ansible on the EX362 exam info page. Is Ansible required to pass EX362 or will I be allowed to do all the tasks like installing IDM or configuring hosts in bash, without writing ansible scripts? The exam info page does not explain the Ansible issue. We can treat some statements as "or" / "and".
Is it possible to pass EX362 without knowing Ansible?
@amarel Refer the exam objective : https://www.redhat.com/en/services/training/ex362-red-hat-certified-specialist-identity-management-e...
For this exam, RHCE knowledge / skill is recommeded which is nothing but Ansible automation skills
If you ask me for my personal recommendations :
1. Yes, I think it is possible to pass this exam without too much indulging to Ansible ( as evident from the exam objective )
2. I would not recommend you to skip Ansible related stuffs - this is a good opportunity for you to learn Ansible - it is a very popular automation tool and I firmly believe it will be useful for you in the long run.
@amarel, The RHEL product documentation was available in both HTML and PDF formats during my EX362 exam, similar to other Red Hat exams.
I don't recall whether every document at the provided URL was accessible, but I was able to find enough information to pass my EX362.
Please note that the three-hour time limit for the EX362 was extremely demanding, so be prepared to work efficiently and refer to the documentation quickly.

Thank you for your answer. I know the basics of Ansible, but I was interested in how much I had to prepare for the exam and what I had to revise. Ansible is quite a large piece of software, which makes the exam a bit longer.
I have one more question. Do I have access to offline version of https://docs.redhat.com/en/documentation/red_hat_enterprise_linux/9#Identity%20Management during the exam?
