Set priorities that matter to you not others
Set boundries
Turn off Tech when not REQUIRED
Find Hobbies that take you away from work.
There are lot of approcahes we can follow to make work life balance better , In my opinion below are some list -
Set Clear Boundaries: Define work hours and stick to them.
Prioritize Tasks: Focus on high-priority items first.
Learn to Say No: Decline additional tasks if you're at capacity.
Delegate Effectively: Share responsibilities with colleagues.
Take Regular Breaks: Recharge your energy periodically.
Use Technology Mindfully: Turn off work notifications after hours.
Prioritize Self-Care: Exercise, eat healthily, and engage in hobbies.
Establish a Routine: Create a consistent daily schedule.
Practice Mindfulness: Use stress-reduction techniques like meditation.
Negotiate Flexibility: Discuss remote work or adjustable hours with your employer.
This can be difficult, but I always remember my priorities.
When you have that sorted, it's easy to control your time. If something of a low priority threatens to eat up time I need for something of a higher priority I drop it.
But firstly I always have my planning in order, so that such a situation does not (or very rarely) come up.
Love what we are doing and it will help us complete the responsibilities within the dedicated time. Just like an actor performs between action and cut and snaps out of it after that, be professional within the timeframe of our task execution and snap out of it completely and be the real person we are.
While remote work makes it easier for you to wrap life around your work, I think this ends up blurring the boundary between work and life. It's important to track time in such as setting an make sure balance is maintained. Another important thing is to segment work and personal devices, limit distractions when committing to one or the other.
Balancing a tech career and personal life isn’t always easy, but setting clear boundaries helps a lot—I make sure to log off at a set time and avoid checking emails after work. Prioritizing tasks is key, so I use tools like Trello or Notion to stay organized and avoid last-minute stress. Taking breaks is non-negotiable; I step away from my screen regularly, even if it’s just for a quick walk. Staying active keeps me energized, so I try to squeeze in workouts or simple stretches during the day. After work, I unplug by spending time with family, pursuing hobbies, or just relaxing. Learning is important, but I pace myself instead of cramming everything at once. Automating repetitive tasks at work also saves me a ton of time. Most importantly, I communicate with my team—if things get overwhelming, I don’t hesitate to discuss it and find a solution.
