Just curious how long the cert is valid for. I am going to take my first attempt tomorrow and a coworker asked how long it is valid for and I guess I never thought of that in case I want t o go on for RHCSE. I found an article that says you can renew before the cert expires, but it doesnt say when it expires. I am guessing something like 1 -3 years or when the next version of RHEL comes out minus one or something like that.
@RonZ Generally a Red Hat cert is valid for 3 years - (you can renew it once it expires if you want).
When you earn a certification, you can go here , enter your cert ID and check the validity ( under "current until " : https://rhtapps.redhat.com/verify/
Also, suppose you have active RHCSA and RHCE certs and then if you earn a specialist certificate eg EX280, EX188 etc - your existing active RHCSA & RHCE will be automatically extended further for 3 years.
