How to upgrade Apache httpd from 2.4.37 to 2.4.62 in Linux OS

Hi Team,

 

could you please provide me backup steps on httpd 2.4.37 to 2.4.62 in Linux OS .

 

A) please provide steps for implementations .

B) please provide rollback steps if not apply successfully. Upgrade product.

could you please provide me steps.

 

Note  :

I have 2 Linux OS  & Apache httpd in this scenario .

1) box-A apply steps then avoid all steps for box-B for Apache httpd upgrades.

 

I am waiting for your valuable information.

please provide detailed steps.

@jeesshnasree    Take backup of /etc/httpd dir entirelyand all other related files, website data or db  before upgrading.

if you have installed apache from package manager, check yum/dnf check-update httpd and then do an upgrade.

 

if you have installed apache from source then refer https://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/install.html#upgrading

for make install process upgrade.

refer for official documentation : https://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/

engage support team and follow documentation to first do the same in development / sandbox and then go for UAT and once approved go for the production system changes.
