Hello Red Hatters,
As the year opens, I’m grateful that my first email of 2026 brought the results of my EX200 Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) examination—a perfect score of 300/300.
For a fully hands-on exam known for its rigor and narrow margin for error, my initial goal was simply to pass. Achieving a perfect score was unexpected and deeply affirming—not just of the result, but of the learning process itself. Preparing for RHCSA reinforced for me that, when approached deliberately and with the right mindset, even demanding technical challenges can be navigated successfully.
This achievement was not in isolation. I benefited greatly from the Red Hat learning ecosystem and from individuals—many of whom I’ve never met—who generously shared guidance, insight, and encouragement. In that same spirit, I’m happy to give back. If you’re preparing for RHCSA and have questions about study approach, hands-on practice, or exam strategy, I’m glad to share what worked for me.
At the same time, I’m actively exploring Linux-focused roles where I can apply and continue developing these skills in real-world environments. If anyone is aware of teams that are hiring, has an opening, or would be open to a conversation or referral, I would sincerely appreciate the connection. Guidance from those already working in the field or who have taken this cert before, on the best next steps is equally welcome.
Thank you, and wishing everyone a strong start to the year!

To be fair, I'm actually putting together some good practice resources that will help candidates better prepare, and faster, focusing on what really matters. I was really frustrated by the lack of well tailored resources out there. Most of the practice exams I took on udemy or tutor's courses just spent time testing out of scope content.
Hey, thanks for that. What you're doing is pretty awesome! I wish you success in putting those resources together. It's amazing how generous people are with their knowledge in this community. I'd be more than happy to review your resources. I actually watch Haruna and Dextutor on a regular basis, so thanks for letting me know I'm on the right track.
Thanks again for your time and take care for now. Hopefully we can collaborate on a project sometime in the future.
Congratulations on your outstanding achievement! Scoring a perfect 300/300 on the RHCSA (EX200) is truly impressive and reflects your dedication, discipline, and strong technical skills. This is a remarkable milestone and a powerful foundation for your Linux career. Wishing you continued success as you apply these skills in real-world environments and take on new challenges ahead. Well done!
Quesiton: for resetting the root password on the node, how would you torubleshoot not being able to use short cut keys to boot from the GRUB such as CTRL-X and F10. Also what if using the ESC key does load the rd.break or the rw init=/bin/bash into the config. Looking for a solution before retaking the RHCSA exam
