Issue with purchase Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) exam (EX200V8K)

I wanted to purchase online proctoring exam rhcsa ex200 as a private individual not belonging to any organization.

I specified the exam Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) exam (EX200V8K) (RHEL 8), placed this into the shopping cart.

While prompting me to payment method I could see:

1. I belonged to org- Self Registered Users Org - EMEA PT3

2. Three options below * Payment Method tile: EU, Non-EU, No.

  • Question 1: Is this expected to be in Self Registered Users Org - EMEA PT3 while trying to buy an exam as being a private individual not belonging to any organization?
  • Question 2: I live in Cyprus which is EU country. If choosing VAT Registered EU option I was requested to enter Tax Number. Could you advise what is meant by this, since normally orgs use Tax Numbers? Should I choose No in my case?
  • Question 3: When I choose No in VAT Registered and try to pay by my credit card, the payment was rejected without good explanation. Could you please advise on my actions?

Best regards,

Marina.

Finally I have purchased the exam.

1. I have decided to choose  No in VAT Registered.

2. I have filed the company name as a self-employed.

RedHat team, could you please make the purchase process better descibed and more obvious for individuals?

Regards,

Marina.

Hi @MarinaPSH ,

This learn.redhat.com forum is more about the community, learners sharing etc... I think the best way to feedback such experience, would be here:

Questions regarding certificates of attendance, pricing and enrolling in an exams:

(emailing: training@redhat.com).

Especially for question 3, it was about a credit card payment which should be handled with privacy, not on a public forum...

I have purchased some exams myself in the past and it's true that it is difficult to know what to choose, especially when unknown terms or groups are used (like: Self Registered Users Org - EMEA PT3 ). The same goes for the VAT, how are individuals supposed to know that?

Please do send the feedback you had here, it will be listened and it's an opportunity to improve existing information! I have done that myself when I was customer, insisted a bit, and to my surprise some Red Hat team did modify some of the learning video related information. They even informed me back, at the time!

In any case, good luck for your exam in advance!

Hi,

Thank you for the detailed answer. That was really helpful.

Since I am a new to RH community,  I sent my questions to support while facing the issue with purchasing, and having no answer for a day or so, I also asked in this forum hoping that any learners had more valid experience than myself and could shed some light on the issue. As purchasing experience should have been slightly easy for individuals:)

Anyway, I got answers here and also with some delay a reply from support arrived.

With regard to the exam, I managed to pass this.

I am really thankful to RH team for getting the opportunity for learners to pass exams online, since there is no facility in the country I live in.

Regards,

Marina

Hi Marius - have you tried reaching out to your local Red Hat office for assistance?
