Many years ago, my goal was to become a rhca, which I achieved.
Since then, a lot of adjustments have been made to this “title”.
Apart from the fact that there are no longer the cool leather jackets
I've been keeping the RHCA "up to date" for many years now and
have always tried to take new exams instead of the same ones.
So now my suggestion is that if you have done X (number to be defined) different tests that count towards the Rhca, you could award an “RHCA for Lifetime" Title (which stays current for ever) , what do you think of the idea?
@Michael_ch true about the EX442 ( the performance tuning exam ) - it is still the most difficult exam to pass.
RHCA for lifetime is not a good idea!
I do net see any "livetime RHCA" status being given.
The fact that the IT world and technology evolve so quickly and change so dramatically in relatively short period (few years really), forces the certification to be valid for a limited period of time (mostly 3 years).
Maybe, an recognition similar to RHCP of the year can be given to individual that keep RCHA status for some years (maybe 10) undiscontinued.

Hi
You can already participate as RHCA on the RHCP of the Year.
Your correct, about the Technology, however i think the RHCA since its creation has been decreased in vaule as of the Mentioned points.
A new tilte would also be ok, as RHCA(+) looks weird
Have a nice day
