Hi Petr,
Any updates on that new ISO? Several members of our team, me included, need to take RH exams during December and January and we are plagued by compatibility problems between our laptops and the exam ISOs.
hi petr cihlar,
could you tell me where could i install the previous or stable versions that works with lenovo old versions laptops?
thanks
My 2 cents.
I have been through a situation recently, where my Laptop (IdeaPad 300-141SK with 8 GB RAM) that I was using for almost four remote exams without any issues became incompatible for the new remote exam ISO that was rolled out recently by RedHat.
So, it is possible that the Laptop that worked for your remote exam before will not necessarily work with the new Remote Exam ISO due to enhancement done to the new ISOs. I reached out to RedHat exam support and their reply was to borrow another laptop from your friend or colleague to try or make a Testing Center reservation for attending the exam.
So, watchout and do the compatiblity test atleast some days ahead of your remote exam and don't get caught out on the day of exam to learn that the new remote exam ISO will not support your current laptop you have been using all along.
And more importantly, once the new remote exam ISO is rolled out, you will not be able to use the previous ISO that worked on your laptop. The compatibility test will prompty fail with the message "old ISO not supported" and RedHat exam support made it very clear without new ISO image, the remote exam will not be possible.
Thank you
the given link for latest rhrexboot.iso is corrupted and unable to open it.

@tinf I am sure @PetrCihlar can help you here ( but he may be OOO because of the holidays ) - you can reach out to exam support here : https://rhtapps.redhat.com/comments
They will surely help you on this.
Hi @tinf ,
I hope you are trying to open the downloaded iso image and hence the error occurs. once you complete the process of burning the image to usb, plug in to usb port and select the option "Boot from USB drive " to initialize the Redhat Exam environment. You can contact Live chat Support @ https://red.ht/remote-exam-chat for quick assistance.
Hi @AnithaRaaji ,
to my knowledge, a working fine ISO file shall be able to mount as CD/DVD drive in window platform prior burning image to USB.
if a corrupted image is burn to USB, how the computer load the boot file?
Hi,
Latest ISO is encrypted and hence you can try to boot from USB drive (In UEFI Mode) .
thanks for the suggestion, disable secure boot resolve the issue.
