Hi,
I've passed exam PE180 Red Hat Certified Specialist in Containers for Kubernetes on Sep 16, 2020.
According to exam description:
By passing this exam, you become a Red Hat Certified Specialist in Containers for Kubernetes, which also counts toward becoming a Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA®)
But as it turned out, my RHCA weren't prolonged and I didn't receive RHCA lvl up.
Has anyone been in the same situation? Will my RHCA be prolonged on October 1, when PE180 will be replaced by EX180?
I've raised ticket to support, but with no reply yet.
You should get the level, anyone who will pass PE180 until 1 Oct (the day PE180 going to be replaced by EX180), this from the latest newsletter from Randy Russell.
Can someone from the training guys confirm this and fix the problem for this user?
I'm also purchased PE180 and planning to take it next week, because the exam provides certification and level until 1 Oct.
Thanks,
Nir.
I've received a message from another RHCA that he also had to create a support ticket in the same situation. So it looks like a common problem.
I'll post support's reply here once I'll receive one.
Hi,
PE180 will be counted towards RHCA achievement for sure, might need to give it time to settle down since every resources are been taken up right now (the change to EX180 + Podmon contents in RHEL, etc).
Cheers,
Yogesh
Well, support told me that it's definitely an issue and they're going to open a ticket for an internal IT.
Maybe RHCA will be prolonged automatically on October 1st and that's what they're waiting for.
A month has passed and my RHCA is still no prolongued.
Support ticket is pending with:
I still checking with the concerned team, I will update you soon on this regard
I have to say I'm pretty disappointed with preliminary exams as for me it turned out to be a waste of money and time.
Hi guys, any updates on this topic, have you achieved that once the exam is accredited it counts for RHCA?
I did the PE180. My RHCA status hasn't changed.
I had the same issue and I just checked again today and it is now fixed.
