Sorry to hear you’re running into trouble with the exam booking. Have you had a chance to contact the Red Hat support team about this? They should be able to check the status and help you move forward.

Wonderful initiative!
For connectivity, I am at 100Mbps speed. Bandwitdh and connectivity over wi-fi and RJ-45 cable is stable so far, I ran a ping test to google, red hat and some other sites for 5-6 hours and there was only 3% lost over wifi, and 4% lost when tested on cable.! (Considering all interferences due to apartment setup.)
(Sorry if this question is repetitive!) My question is during the exam, in case if connection drops for few seconds, and re-established, Will the connectivity from my laptop to RH be established automatically, or , Do I need to restart whole test again ?
Thanks in advance.
I would say it would depends on the network interruption, its duration, etc...
For your information, during a Remote Exam, my connection was interrupted for around 10 seconds. The Remote Exam environment presented me with a specific screen saying there is a network interruption, and it was attempting to reconnect. It did reconnect automatically, I was able to resume working on the 4 hours exam.
On another note, 4% loss over cable seems high. Have you considered using other type of RJ45 cables which can protect on some interferences? For example cat6 cables have more protection against crosstalk than cat5 cables. Just a thought.
Cheers,
Thanks Mod. I am planning to replace both cables, from modem to router, and from wifi router to laptop. I will go with CAT-6 for better connectivity. Thanks for the advise, on reconnetion. You are right, that depends on how long it was disconnected, and then if internet connection gets back to normal.
Afterall we try our best to continue connected with pre-planning such this, but it depends on the luck sometime :-)
Hi Support,
I have sceduled an EXAM on Tomorrow (i.e Aug 17 08:30 AM IST), Currently time is 12:30 PM IST (Aug 16). But still "Your Exam Session" on the Remote Exam not showing my sceduled Exam.
Hi @Veerakumar
We can see your scheduled exam starting at 8:30 AM IST (UTC + 5.5).
The Scheduler portal will display your scheduled exams wtihin 24 hours from the time you schedule it when accessed separately. However, the 'Your Exams' button within the RE image will show it very near to the start time.
Only one external Webcam is required for the exam. The Webcam should have enough cable length so that it can be placed at an angle and distance acceptable to the Proctor for effective monitoring.
Wish you a successful and smooth exam experience!

My download speed in the compatibility test says it is too slow. I have a 2.8Mbps download connection speed (as measured by speedtest.net) and I know from looking at my router IP traffic that I am the only one using my home network and registering at 2.8Mbps during the network test. Why is it still saying the download speed is too slow ?
Hi,
2.8 Mbps from Speedtest.net sounds a bit unpredictable to me. Usually, speedtest picks a nearest server to test bandwidth and hence realtime results can be quite different. The download/upload test of our compatibility test looks at the speed to access Red Hat servers and hence it will be different based on distance, time of testing etc.
You can try conducting a few more iterations of this test at different times of the day to see if the failure is consistent.

Shefeeq
