Ah, I understand now. I'll have to look that option as well. Thank you for the suggestion.
I had exam on Sept 24th, 10 PM IST.
I was not able to login to the exam at that time.
I was ablt to boot the laptop using USB but login prompt did not come.
I tried with couple of laptops, 3 LAN cables and 2 USB sticks. I even tried with backup connection. None of them worked. Attaching the error in screenshot.
Next day, when I tried with same setup it worked and gave me login prompt.
I have used same setup for exams before and it had worked.
I have raised a ticket with them on the same day but have not received any reply.
I no longer see the exam in schedular. Will I get my attempt back?
What else can I do? Do not want to miss on attemt for no fault of my own.
I expected that RedHat exam team will atleast call me when i did not login at exam time. may be I could have told them my issue but disaapoinment on that front :(
Hi @Sarang ,
Unfortunately, there was an unexpected outage during your exam slot which caused that error. I believe the proctors/support reached out to the candidates to explain the problem but I'll apologize if you did not receive any message. I have let the team know and you should expect a response on your ticket soon.
Regards,
Thank you @vishals for your prompt response and confirming the issue.
I believe I will get my attempt back then. :)
Suggestion to the Red Hat Team.....
As part of Compatibility test, we should provide a sample test environment too...where we can check that the Red Hat execution environment works upto the required speed with our home network.
My personal experience is that even though my compatibility tests had passed, but when I began the certification exam..the environment was not accessible. The proctor had to confirm that and the exam was rescheduled. That causes a lot of trouble.
A sample test environment will be helpful to ensure things will be all good on the certifcation day.
@Hina Nice suggestion. Hope this goes through.
Most of us are only able to test BW (using speedtest.net) but not latency and that causes trouble once the exam starts.
Agreed. I had the EXACT same issue and had to reschedule. My DSL connection is too slow. My celluar LTE connection is fast enough but latency might be an issue depending on the distance of the server I have to connect to for the exam. Seems like a no-win situation for those who need to test remotely.
Hopefully someone from the Red Hat team will see your post @Hina and offer a better solution.
Dear Red Hat team,
After rescheduling my exams a couple of times( a little more), getting my certification slot cancelled, still awaiting a response on the new voucher - I have a few suggestions :
1. Red Hat exams from home are not that efficient. Atleast we can see numerous network issues coming up. Can we have an environment directly available on a webpage. Killer.sh is an excellent example of how that is possible and easily accessible.
2. Open Red Hat testing centers. Things are now coming to normal, No one would mind going to a well sanitized center with due care. Please think over.
3. Also, a tie up with other certification centers can explore the training centers in cities where Red Hat center is not present. Pearson venues are one such example.
Would be great if these can be under your consideration. It will make our life easier and ofcourse! yours too :)

My macbook pro not able to boot with USB. Kindly help.
In boot menu USB drive is not showing.
When I attempt to boot from the USB drive containing the Red Hat ISO I am getting "Error 36: REBUILD USB DRIVE". I have attempted with several different USB drives, but I am getting the same error. I have my laptop (HP Envy 2020) set up to boot from a USB drive, so I am not certain what the error means? Can anyone assist with this? I am scheduled to take my exam the day after tomorrow. Thanks.
