I am unable to get the microphone on my Thinkpad P1 Gen3 to work. It detects the internal microphone but no sound it being recorded from it, and I have set the volume to maximum in the settings. I have tried with an external wired headset and that doesn't work either. I have tried to boot from another USB device, same result. My exam is tomorrow and I am not passing the compatibility test.
It is not yet. I had that problem a couple of days ago as well. It is an issue at RH's end. I suggest rebooting or rescheduling if this happens again.
RH has apparently an issue with some login services. Some candidates were however able to get to the exam by rebooting several times. The exam may start up to 30 minutes later. So keep trying or raise the ticket and ask for reschedule because of the tech issues at https://rhtapps.redhat.com/comments
Dear Petr,
I have issues logging into the remote exam. I have booted it from the USB drive all settings are OK but struck at login screen. I have exam tomorrow & no possibilty to re-schedule it.
What shall be done ?
Hi,
There has been technical issue with login to exam environment . You can try to reboot multiple times and login . Some candidates were able to Login to the exam by rebooting repeatedly.
Although the microphone level indicator responded when I make some noise. Why does my compatibility test detect very low microphone volume?
Try to clap your hands during the compatibility test. It may help in those situations. Increase the sensitivity of the mic in the sound settings by moving the slider to the right, but not fully. If none of this help, change the mic input to something else
