Success! Eventually.
I disabled Secure Boot on my laptop, and the exam environment ran & passed compatability tests. Well that was easy!
Not so fast... Booted back into Windoze and it was messed up. Flashing and beeping constantly, my external USB devices & fingerprint reader didn't work, etc. Removed external devices one by one to isolate the problem, and none of them seemed to cause it. Re-attached devices and everything is working. !?
Thanks for your help @Sanju7!
Glad to hear that you were able to load into exam image fine @GaryF . Happy to help
Hello,
Once we are done with the exam what to we do with the USB? Are we provided information on shipping it to a specific location?
Also, I do not have an ethernet port directly on my computer, could I connect a docking station adapter or is there something else I'm required to do to be able to directly connect my ethernet cable from my modem/router to my computer? Thanks!
Hi @arinco10
You'll be using live USB only to load the exam image on to system memory. Once it is loaded on to system memory you'll be asked to remove it. Further, the exam image will be on the system memory and you'll be taking exam from that. No action required in regards to live USB used to laod the exam image. You can use the same live USB if you're about to take another certification exam (unless there is a newer version released)
Note: You need not have to ship the USB anywhere.
It is recommend to use wired connection to take the exam but it is not limited to it. You can take the exam with WiFi connection as well. If you want to use the docking station for having wired internet connection, it is allowed as well. But please ensure you run the compatibility test with the complete setup and pass all the tests.
As you had asked about the docking station. In the past, the docking stations were connected using a special port/connector at the bottom of the computer usually. Later, when thunderbolt protocol evolved and got used on USB-C wirring, the docking stations became external. There is a slight difference between an multiport adapter and an external dock.
Bear in mind the Thunderbolt protocol must be fully supported in the exam system you boot from USB in order your docking station to work. This is often not to case. I do not think the TB support is good in Fedora. And thats why Sanjy7 suggested you to run the compatibility test. What works well are simple USB adapters. Like to Ethernet, Wifi, displayport
I tried the compatibility check and I failed on system time not synchronized. Any ideas how to fix this? Thank you!

I've found a discussion topic, started by @jna, here in the Red Hat Learning Community, on 8th January of the current year (2024), about that same problem:
https://learn.redhat.com/t5/General/redhat-remote-exam-clock-not-sync/m-p/40529/
Hi,
after running the redhat remote exam pre-requisites, its says that it doesnt match with my system clock, although upon checking it is match.
Please help.
Thank you
... which got the following answer by @AnithaRaaji (a Moderator / "MOD" of this "Redhat Learning Community"):

Hi @jna ,
System clock mismatch can be temporary glitch. You can verify the timezone from exam confirmation email and enter the same while performing compatibility checks. You will be able to access the exam without issues.
I hope this helps!
Hi, I have just scheduled the exam today for later this month, and I am still in shock for the long list of requirements.
My first ungly surprise, I had to admit, is that there is no training facilty in Barcelona, but 3 in Madrid. I really wanted to go to location to do the exam, precisely to avoid all the remote issues...
Anyway, I have a new Windows laptop, so specs are not going to be a problem. But I cannot get why an external wireless keyboard and mouse are not allowed. Neither wired keyboard and mouse are not allowed if not using an external monitor!! (Note, if I close the lid, the camera would be useless).
Can you confirm that external wired keyboard and mouse in a laptop are not allowed, and neither external wireless keyboard and mouse?
Thanks in advance.
If you're using laptop with laptop display you're not allowed to use external keyboard and mouse. ( you've to rely on touchpad and laptop keyboard )
if you're using laptop with external monitor with laptop lid closed, you're allowed to use external wired keyboard and wired mouse. You need additional two 2 USB camera.
Also Redhat recommends LAN connectivity.
I still have no clarity if we can use WiFi along with LAN as secondary/backup internet connection in case of primary LAN failure.
@rhel_since_3 If you're using laptop with laptop display you can still use external wired mouse if you want to but not the extenral wired keyboard.
If you want to use external wired keyboard with laptop, laptop lid has to be closed and you need to use external wired mouse and monitor in that case. And in this case, there is no need of using 2 USB cameras mandatorily. Only 1 USB camera is good enough. If you have 2 USB cameras and both are working fine, well and good. But it is not mandatory to use 2 USB cameras in this case.
We always recommend wired connectivity as it provide better stablity against WiFi. However, candiates can take the exam with WiFi connection as well.
Yes, you can use WiFi as backup for wired(LAN) connectivity
