Hey Folks,
currently I hold an RHCE in RHEL 7, today RHEL 8 was released.
Are there already RHEL 8 RHCE training materials out? If not, when will they appear (couldn't find any as of 7 May 2019, release date)? I guess a wide range of new versions of product will follow as well.
Thanks in advance.
Tamas
RHCE on RHEL 8 goes live on the 3rd of June, that's when the objectives for the exam will be released.
AFAIK, there is no training material published for RHCE on RHEL 8 because the exam is not yet available.
Sorry, found the answer in another forum: https://www.redhat.com/en/blog/announcing-evolution-red-hat-certified-engineer-program
Judging by another thread here in the learning community, even the list of objectives isn't clear yet. I am assuming a lot would also depend on the speed of adoption of the new RHEL 8 by organizations that rely on RHEL, in addition to what Red Hat considers worthy of exam objectives for the new RHCE exam that will focus on RHEL 8. That will hopefully all be clear within a year from now, when the RHCE based on RHEL 7 is planned to be retired.
Maybe the new focus would also mean less kiosk exam horror stories? I certainly hope so.
