RHEL + Containers FAQ
What changes are happening and when?
- All of these changes are happening October 1st, 2020, and are ONLY impacting RHEL8 versions. RHEL 7 will remain the same:
- RH134: being extended by 1 day to include container content
- RH199: being extended by 1 day to include container content
- EX200: being extended by .5 hours to include container content
- EX180 (Red Hat Certified Specialist in Containers and Kubernetes Exam)- New exam, replacing PE180
- PE180: no longer purchasable, being replaced with EX180
- RH124: Updating to RHEL 8.2 to address jiras and bug fixes
Please note: deliveries of EX200V8 without containers will continue until October 5th, 2020.
What does this mean if I have an exam scheduled for after October 5th? Can I take this exam without containers?
- On October 5th, EX200 RHEL 8 version will be updated to include containers, and this exam will no longer be available without containers
What will the delta content include and look like?
- This content will be 4-5 hours of container content to help prepare for the changes coming to EX200. It will look like a regular course and it will include labs.
Am I eligible for the free content, RHCSA650E?

The new content focuses on the basics of running a container. We primarily use Podman, although inspecting a container with Skopeo is briefly discussed.
If you are elgible, follow the link in the above FAQ to see the chapter.

Hi! I'm trying to schedule my remote RHCSA v8 exam for next week but there are no dates on the calendar before Oct. 1. Is this issue related to this update? is there any chance to take it before Oct. 1 ? Thank you!

It seems like they might have hit capacity for proctor availability which is why it is not showing any open slots, due to the popularity of this exam being remote now.
