RHEL + Containers FAQ
What changes are happening and when?
- All of these changes are happening October 1st, 2020, and are ONLY impacting RHEL8 versions. RHEL 7 will remain the same:
- RH134: being extended by 1 day to include container content
- RH199: being extended by 1 day to include container content
- EX200: being extended by .5 hours to include container content
- EX180 (Red Hat Certified Specialist in Containers and Kubernetes Exam)- New exam, replacing PE180
- PE180: no longer purchasable, being replaced with EX180
- RH124: Updating to RHEL 8.2 to address jiras and bug fixes
Please note: deliveries of EX200V8 without containers will continue until October 5th, 2020.
What does this mean if I have an exam scheduled for after October 5th? Can I take this exam without containers?
- On October 5th, EX200 RHEL 8 version will be updated to include containers, and this exam will no longer be available without containers
What will the delta content include and look like?
- This content will be 4-5 hours of container content to help prepare for the changes coming to EX200. It will look like a regular course and it will include labs.
Am I eligible for the free content, RHCSA650E?
- Eligible students are:
- Students who have purchased or taken RH134/RH199 between August 17th, 2019 and September 30th, 2020
- Students who have purchased or scheduled EX200 between August 17th, 2019 and September 30th, 2020
- This includes students who have scheduled exams after September 30th 2020 as long as they purchased the exam before September 30th 2020.
How do I access this free content?
- Eligible students will be able to purchase this offering in the LMS for free. Please click on this article to view a tutorial on accessing this content.
When will updated video classrooms be available?
- We do not have a date at this time for updated VCs, but they are slated for updates after GA of October 1st.
I have questions about the content changes. Who can I ask?

Hi,
I attempted to take my RHCSA ex200v8k exam on the 27th September however due to technical issues beyond my control I couldn't sit the exam. I have rescheduled for this coming Friday.
Can you please confirm if the exam I sit on Friday will be based on the old exam or the new exam with the container content?
Regards

Hi
My situation is that I had a red hat learning subscription between Jan 2019 and Jan 2020. It was extended for 80 days because in November the redhat learning site had an upgrade that made my account inaccesssible for 80 days. In January 2020 the issue was resolved by providing me with a new login which had 80 days entitlement (no bonus days for my troubles I noted).
Do I qualify for the the container training suppliment. I don't appear to have access to it.
