12. Sponsor. Red Hat, Inc., located at 100 East Davie Street, Raleigh, North Carolina 27601, is the sponsor of the Contest (“Sponsor”).
I would like to have participated in this contest, but per section 1 in the above rules I am not eligible. I understand that but do have a few related questions I'm unclear on.
1.) Are those who are ineligible to participate in the contest still allowed to share their thoughts on the questions?
Anything I write must be done solely on my behalf as an individual, not within the scope of my employment or with the knowledge or consent of my employer. I expressly cannot do anything that is binding on my employer or would be considered as representing them.
2.) Is there any way to earn the 100K member badge without participating in this contest?
Since the badge is given to everyone who participates, it doesn't seem to qualify as a contest prize per se. It also has no monetary value and is nontransferable, just like the Observant badge I apparently "earned" simply by clicking the link to the original contest post.
I'd really just like to have the badge to commemorate the milestone and to remind future me that I was here.
3.) Are there similar terms of service for the RHLC in general, outside of this contest?
It seems likely that they exist but I am unable to find them. If you can provide a link to such, I would appreciate it.
This is my first comment in the RHLC, and it must remain my only one until I can confirm that anything I write is recognized as being done solely on my behalf as an individual. Again, I expressly cannot do anything that is binding on my employer or would be considered as representing them.
Thank you in advance for your understanding, and for any clarification you provide. Best of luck with the contest, and congratulations on hitting such a significant milestone.
