Hi there,
I've recently upgraded from rhel 7.9 to 8.10 using Leapp. Everything worked fine but I''ve just realised the users home directories have been dropped after the upgrade, getting "Could not chdir to home directory /home/" when loggin in as that particular user.
Is this normal or should be expected?
Thanks
@mngomeo What is the completer error , after "Could not chdir to home directory /home/" ? Permission denied or no such file or dir or anything else ? Anything you are getting in /var/log/secure ?
What is ls -lart for /home/user ? Are the home directories automounted dirs ( LDAP?) ? Is the mount settings proper ? what about sssd service ?
there's autofs configured, and it wasnt there before upgrade. This auto mounts all home directories
@afterleapupgrad whether the mount is configured with sec=krb5p option and ssh is configured to use PubKeyAuthentication ?
