At this point, I think everyone knows what Edge means, but few know of actual edge use cases.
How would you describe Edge technology in layman's terms?
For instance, Chick Fil A deploys Kubernetes at the Edge to run its internet-independent applications. Many people have had Chick Fil A or at least been through a drive-thru or two in their day!
What are some everyday use cases of it that people may not think about?
I didn't think about video and music streaming! I know edge and the automotive industry have a very close relationship these days! People probably don't think about that. But 'smart homes' are definitely a use case most people can probably understand but are unaware of.
I do know IoT in healthcare is a major edge use case. Do you work closely with helping your MSO customers manage all their data?
i do think that you should start by knowing the 6 main Edge models most customers , hyperscalers and even telco's evaluating to commercialize it
In edge technology we use most advance and latest techonlogy
Do you work closely with Edge in your work? @digneshptl
Yes In past handling IoT device based application infrastruture.
That's super cool. Have you ever written/published about the work you do in a personal blog or LinkedIn? I'd love to help you publish some of your work in Edge through the blog I manage, Enable Architect.
I have my blog https://digneshptl.blogspot.com/, but did not publish about Edge.
This is cool!! Would you mind if I shared with my partner at Enable Sysadmin (redhat.com/sysadmin) to republish some of your work?
No issue. You may share.
