Hello,
For a hardware systems engineer, who does not have even a basic knowledge on DevOps and who aims to attain the level of RHCA: What are the exams he can pass after the EX294/RHCE?
Please advise.
Regards
After achieving your RHCE (EX294), the most direct route is the Core Infrastructure Path. This approach focuses on building deep expertise in enterprise systems management.
I believe this is one of the strongest combinations for the RHCA, as it provides a fantastic balance of core infrastructure skills and modern automation. My recommended path would be these five exams:
EX442 – Red Hat Certified Specialist in Linux Performance Tuning
EX436 – Red Hat Certified Specialist in High Availability Clustering
EX260 – Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ceph Cloud Storage
EX362 – Red Hat Certified Specialist in Identity Management
EX374 – Red Hat Certified Specialist in Developing Automation with Ansible Automation Platform
If you prefer deep system administration over automation: You could choose EX342 instead of EX374 (Ansible Automation).
You can see all the available options and verify these on the official Red Hat page here: https://www.redhat.com/en/services/certification/rhca
Start with the easiest ones, just to achieve the RHCA (in this order)
EX188 - Red Hat Certified Specialist in Containers exam
EX240 - Red Hat Certified Specialist in API Management exam
EX403 - Red Hat Certified Specialist in Deployment and Systems Management exam
EX467 - Red Hat Certified Specialist in Managing Automation with Ansible Automation Platform Exam
EX248 - Red Hat Certified Specialist in Enterprise Application Server Administration exam
Then go for other certifications to extend you RHCA level (5 specialist exams are rhca level 1, each new one increasing the level).

Nir.
RHCA XX
Hi @Mawuena ,
Please also consider EX316 and EX260.
@Mawuena IMHO there is no easiest path to attain RHCA - clearing 5 specialist exams is no easy feat. There can be one or two exams comparatively easier or straightforward in the list of 5 but I highly recommend you to NOT go for RHCA by considering the easiest exams from other's perspective. Infact, I would recommend you to utilitse this opportunity in upgrading your skillset to the latest trending ones like Openshift, Ansible, Openstack, RH satellite , IdM, 3scale API, Ceph etc.
Please go through this link : https://www.redhat.com/en/services/certification/rhca and select the list of exams as per your choice of skill path. If you want to know more details about the exams and courses or if you need other help , please dont hesitate to reach out.
