backslash and pipeline symbols are not working on my keyboard

I took ex200 exam, booted my desktop from the exam live-USB.

I connected with a lenovo keyboard. However the button "\ | " doesnt towrk, it's come out showing as '<'. so iI annot use pipe |, and cannot cretate scripts with \. 

I am not able to start httpd and chronyd after I loged in node1, the exit code is 1. the error message is not related configuration port.

any ideas about these issues?

Did you change the keyboard layout while setting up the Exam environment?

it looks like incorrectly set keyboard layout in the settings. You could use virtual keyboard instead and inform the proctor immediately.

What do you mean virtual keyboard?
The proctor didn’t tell me that . I have wireless keyboard but the proctor
not allowed me to use it

The virtual keyboard is drawn on the screen. It is also called the screen keyboard. You can open it by an icon in the upper right hand corner. It looks similar like this:

use mouse to click the virtual keyboard?

the proctor contacted tech support during the exam, they did something and asked me to reboot my desktop. didnt mention the virtul keybord. I didnt see the virual keyboard icon, whats look like. i lost time to work on this.
