Hello everyone, new here!
I was hoping to hear opinions / experiences on studying for the RHCSA at home. How do we get a copy of RHEL? (7 or 8 now?)
Is there a way to download onto a disk/flash drive? How much does it cost? I wouldn't mind buying a subscription if I could. How can a student do that?
As you could probably tell, I need a lot of help. Any advice at all will help. Asking for a friend.
Cheers!
If you register on the Red Hat Developers web sie (http://developers.redhat.com) you get a free, not time-bombed, self-supported developer subscription of RHEL and many other Red Hat products. Then you can download an ISO image of RHEL and install it as a VM on your notebook or a spare machine to test its virtualization capabilities.

I've passed the RHCSA twice now (initial and re-cert) using Sander Van Vugt's Red Hat Linux RHCSA Cert Guide. I also have a Red Hat online learning subscription but I find for the certs Sander is an excellent instructor. You can also join Safari and get his books/Videos for free.
