Does SSL encrypt the data or it will create tunnel which passes information securely

Hi @Acetech,

SSL has now been replaced by TLS.

SSL/TLS both leverage:

1. initial key exchange
2. authentication
3. encryption
4. data integrity

So it's more a tunnel than just encryption. Encryption only wouldn't solve the key exchange issue, nor the authentication of the peer.
